



Course Timetable
Training courses will be running concurrently in three rooms over three days.
- Course 1 - Human Factors for Service Providers - Train the Trainer
Most incidents and accidents on the ground are caused mainly, or even completely, by errors from ground handling personnel. This course covers the impact of the Human Factor and Human Error in ground handling and aircraft incidents and accidents. To conform to ISAGO standards, ground handling staff must be trained in Human Factors, and ground instructors and trainers must be able to demonstrate that they are certified and competent to conduct Human Factors training.
- Course 2 - Ground Operations Safety Compliance
This course will provide practical insights into how to apply observation techniques to maintain operational integrity through quality assurance and safety risk management.
- Course 3 - Operational Risk Management Workshop
No business should operate without a proven risk management strategy in today’s business climate.
- Course 4 - Ground Standards - Implementing IGOM & ISAGO Preparation
The industry has recognized the need for and benefits derived from common standards. The IGOM (IATA GROUND OPERATIONS MANUAL) is a key tool to implement standard operational processes & procedures. It is essential that as a Ground Service Provider, the benefits of the IGOM are working for you and place your organization at the leading edge of this movement. Preparing for the operational scope of an ISAGO audit requires adoption of the IGOM’s processes and procedures.
Ground handling will soon be regulated by ICAO and other governing authorities. The IGOM and ISAGO are expected to be acceptable means of compliance to these requirements.
- Course 5 - IATA Standard Ground handling Agreement
This course will provide an overview of the legal framework of the 2013 version of the SGHA. Learn how to interpret the SGHA and understand its legal implications.
- Course 6 - Ground Operations Training Instructor Qualification
It takes more than technical competence to successfully deliver ground operations training. This course will provide the learner with skills to effectively develop, conduct and evaluate a training course designed specifically to meet the needs of the airport and ground handling environment. To conform to ISAGO standards, ground handling instructors and trainers must be able to demonstrate that they are competent and certified in order to conduct training.
